Today, on August 24, 2023, the General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE) exam results were released. Students from England and Wales can obtain their marksheets from their respective schools or colleges to check their pass status.

Many candidates eagerly awaited the release of the GCSE exam results, which finally happened today. Out of all the exam takers, only 22% achieved a grade of 7/A or above, a decrease of 4.3% from last year. The overall pass rate for 2023 also dropped by 0.04% to 98%.

Interestingly, this year saw a higher percentage of female students, with 24.9% achieving a grade of 7/A or above, compared to 19.1% of male students. To access their results, students must visit their respective institutions.

Across England and Wales, a significant number of teenagers participated in the GCSE exam. While the overall pass rate decreased slightly, there was an increase in the number of students taking Science and Mathematics compared to last year.

In England, only 1,150 students achieved grade 9 in all their subjects, a decrease of about 900 from the previous year.

Unfortunately, GCSE exam results are not available online. Students must collect their marksheets from their schools or colleges. There is no online portal for result checking. Marksheets are being distributed to institutions, and students can verify their pass status there.

GCSE Exam 2023 Certificate

The GCSE exam results were announced today, and students can expect to receive their certificates by the last week of October 2023. These certificates will be sent to respective colleges or schools by the Assessment and Qualifications Alliance. Students must collect their certificates from their admitted institutions to proceed with further academic endeavors.
