The Odisha Directorate of Fire and Emergency Services has released a notification for the recruitment of 941 Fireman and Fireman Drivers. The online application process will begin on September 1, 2023 and will close on September 30, 2023.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the Odisha Fireman Recruitment 2023, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- They must be a citizen of India.
- They must have passed the 10th standard examination from a recognized board.
- They must be unmarried.
- They must have a minimum height of 165 cm for male candidates and 155 cm for female candidates.
- They must have a minimum weight of 50 kg for male candidates and 45 kg for female candidates.
- They must be physically and mentally fit to perform the duties of a Fireman.
Age Limit
The minimum age limit for the Odisha Fireman Recruitment 2023 is 18 years and the maximum age limit is 25 years. However, there is a relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST candidates and 3 years for OBC candidates.
Selection Process
The selection of candidates for the Odisha Fireman Recruitment 2023 will be done through a written examination and a physical test. The written examination will be held on October 15, 2023. The physical test will be held on October 22, 2023.
Salary and Benefits
The selected candidates will be appointed as Firemen in the Odisha Fire Service. The starting salary for a Fireman is Rs. 18,000 per month. The Firemen will also be entitled to other benefits such as medical allowance, leave travel allowance, and pension.
