Rohit Gurunath Sharma is an Indian cricketer who plays and leads the Indian national cricket team in all types of matches. Born on April 30, 1987, in Nagpur, Maharashtra, India, he is known as one of the best batsmen of his time and one of the greatest opening batters ever. Sharma is recognized for his precise timing, graceful playing style, ability to hit sixes, and strong leadership skills.
Sharma has set several batting records, including the highest number of double centuries (3) in One Day International (ODI) cricket and the most centuries (7) in the Cricket World Cup. He bats right-handed and represents Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League (IPL) and Mumbai in domestic cricket.
